How to create AI portraits of yourself
Three steps: upload selfies, train a private model, generate studio portraits from your pack. No photographer. No studio. No waiting weeks for edits.

Upload 8–20 selfies
Choose photos taken in good lighting, from multiple angles (front, slight left, slight right), and with varied expressions. Your eyes should be clearly visible in every photo. Natural smartphone photos work perfectly — no professional camera needed. Avoid heavy filters, sunglasses, or images where other people are in the frame.

We train your private model
SyntheticPic uses your selfies to train a custom Flux LoRA — a private model dedicated to your face — on dedicated GPU compute. Training takes 10–20 minutes. Your selfies are used for your model alone, are never used to train a shared model, and are never accessible to other users. When training completes, your dashboard shows the model as ready.

Pick a style and generate
Open the Studio, select a style pack (Corporate Headshot, LinkedIn Portrait, Outdoor Adventure, Black & White Studio, or Cyberpunk), and click Generate. Results arrive in seconds. Every image is identity-locked — the model will only generate your face. Generate as many variations as you want, keep the best, and download in full resolution.
Tips for best results
- Vary the lighting
- Include indoor, outdoor, and window-lit shots. Even lighting across your face in each photo reduces artefacts in generations.
- Avoid heavy filters
- Instagram filters, Snapchat effects, and heavy editing confuse the model. Use lightly-processed or unedited originals.
- Show multiple angles
- Train photos should include front-facing, three-quarter left, and three-quarter right views so the model understands your face in 3D.
- Eyes must be visible
- Sunglasses, hair covering one eye, or blurry close-ups reduce model accuracy significantly. Keep both eyes clear in every training photo.
The technology
Most cheap AI headshot sites work the same way: one generic model shared by every customer, steered by a text prompt that mentions your appearance. The result tends to look like a stock person with your haircut. SyntheticPic takes a different route. For every customer we train a custom Flux LoRA — a private adaptation of a state-of-the-art image model. In plain terms, the system spends dedicated GPU time learning the actual geometry of your face from your photos, rather than applying a filter or a prompt trick. There are no shared models: your LoRA is trained for you alone, belongs to your account alone, and only generates your face.
Training quality is only half the story. Before a portrait ever reaches your gallery, an automated identity check scores it against your training photos — images that drift from your real appearance never make it to your results. That gate is why SyntheticPic portraits read as photos of you, not a flattering lookalike.

Your face model stays private
Your selfies are used only to train your personal model and are stored in an isolated environment. No other user can access your model or generate images of your face. You can delete your model at any time from My Models — deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes the model, your training photos, and the face data derived from them (generated portraits stay until you delete them). We do not use training photos to improve shared or public models.
